The registration of sim cards with national identity card has been a trending news all over the town.×250&!1&btvi=1&fsb=1&xpc=TUezYqgk19&p=https%3A//

It is an obligation for all citizens to link it with their sim cards in order for proper identification and recognition.

Rumours has it that it is one of the ways of reducing cyber crimes such as hacking, scam and other online fraudulent activities carried out by the youths.×250&!2&btvi=2&fsb=1&xpc=LtCKcSLl54&p=https%3A//

Currently, it is not a new news as almost all Nigerians are already linking their sim card with their National Identity Cards.

However, some people still have problems linking it to their sim cards due to one or two reasons especially those that misplaced their National Identity Card.

For those that misplaced their sim cards, I am here with just a simple step on how you can provide your National Identity Number (NIN).

To provide your national identity number, just dial *346# on the number you used during your registration and your National Identity Number (NIN) will appear and it cost just twenty naira to it.

We all need to work together to stop corruption and the first process is to obey this new strategy.

Liberia saying the president should quit and continue his music career

Monrovia – The release of President George Weah’s latest song has sparked mixed reaction from the public, with some calling on him to resign to pursue his musical career instead.

The song, titiled “Mr. Liarman” is the President’s third song he has release since this year. The first, an anti-COVID-19 awareness song, was followed by a promotional music×250&×250&correlator=8502491274923&frm=20&pv=1&ga_vid=1705123797.1608106913&ga_sid=1608106964&ga_hid=412250764&ga_fc=0&u_tz=60&u_his=2&u_java=0&u_h=720&u_w=360&u_ah=720&u_aw=360&u_cd=24&u_nplug=0&u_nmime=0&adx=55&ady=1492&biw=360&bih=592&scr_x=0&scr_y=0&eid=21068999%2C21066819%2C21066973&oid=2&pvsid=2464728190396563&pem=926&!2&btvi=1&fsb=1&xpc=IJf7qN5tnD&p=https%3A//

The latest comes in the wake of the just ended the Special Senatorial Election and ntional referendum where he and his party were heavily defeated.

FrontPage Africa went out to talk to some Liberians and this was what they had to say:

Eric Myers- Resident of Monrovia

“For me, I am very disappointed in President Weah. If our President wants to do music, I think it will be better that he resign from the Presidency and pursue his musical career.

The Liberian people elected the President, not based on making music –it was based on delivering his deliverable. So, if he wants to make music, he needs to peacefully turn over the Presidency and then go ahead to follow his musical career.

Since he became President, this is his third time he has made music, I am disappointed in him. The Liberian people need some changes from him now. So, if he cannot deliver the deliverable, he needs to give those people that want to deliver the change.

What came to my mind the very moment I listened to that music was that the President lacks focus, he lacks direction and he got no agenda for the people of Liberia.”

Mary Kerkula- University Of Liberia Student

“Let the President focus on the real issues that are affecting the Liberian people. If he wants to be a musician let him resign and start his music career.

We cannot have a President who every time is in the studio recording music. The people voted for him to change their lives and not for him to make music.”

Henry Y. Sarlie- CDC Youth Executive in District #4 Montserrado County

Monrovia — Mr. Benoni Urey, political leader of the All Liberian Party (ALP) and the political leader of the Alternative National Congress (ANC), Mr. Alexander Cummings have often not been on the same page since forming the political marriage alongside the Liberty Party (LP) and the Unity Party (UP) and this often threatened the formidability of the Collaboration.

Many have held the opinion that the pair’s failure to truly collaborate would continue to blur their chances of claiming state power from the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change which also comprises three political parties.×300&!1&btvi=1&fsb=1&xpc=vFqM88Vn6J&p=https%3A//

The most recent altercation between Urey and Cummings was during the primary for the selection of senatorial candidate in Nimba County.

The Feud

In September, the climax of the primary in Nimba turned chaotic with the ANC declaring that it will not accept the results of the primary that has declared the Liberty Party-backed Edith Gongloe Weh as the winner over the ANC-backed Taa Wongbe. The Liberty Party, however, said it would accept the results despite the controversial climax with its chair Steven Zargo telling FrontPageAfrica that his party supports the controversial election of Gongloe Weh over Taa Wongbe.

The primary issue was compounded by a lingering feud between Cummings and Urey. Both men have traded jabs over petty differences bordering egos even as the conundrum reaches a boiling point.

Mr. Urey has publicly declared that Mr. Cummings, in his own words, “was not fit to be President”, owing to his late arrival on the political landscape.

Need for equality and love

Champions League match suspended over racism incident

We should always fight for a more equal and less discriminatory world, be it through the way we act on our daily lives, or by denouncing any attitude we perceive as demeaning to any other party due to its culture, religious belief, sexual orientation or skin colour.

In a world that is becoming increasingly less tolerant to racial discrimination, we can certainly see many signs that, little by little, we are building towards a world that is more equal. One of these signs has been shown tonight, during a match of the most popular sport in the globe.

It happened during the football match between PSG vs Istanbul Başakşehir, valid for the UEFA’s Champions League, which was suspended following an alleged racist incident involving the 4th official towards Istanbul’s assistant manager. As the referee went to consult with the 4th official to find out what had happened during a discussion over one of the referees’ decisions, heatedly contested by Istanbul’s assistant manager, the 4th official pointed out the assistant and referred to him as “the black guy”.

The assistant manager protested over this discrimination, and this prompted players from both teams to walk off the pitch, refusing to resume the match until the issue was resolved and properly reviewed. This show of solidarity is a hopeful display  that humanity is growing more conscious and less tolerant towards all kinds of discrimination. The fact that it happened during one of the world’s most popular entertainment events is all the more important, as it brings the still very real issue of racism to light, broadcast globally and into public debate.

PSG vs Istanbul Basaksehir has been suspended following an alleged racist incident involving the 4th official towards Istanbul’s assistant manager.

A few observers and the 4th official himself have correctly pointed out that, since the referee is Romanian, the word for “black” is “negru” in his native tongue. True. However, the bigger issue remains: it is not about syntax or the poor choice of words, if that ever was what transpired in the heat of the moment: rather, the act of referring to anyone by their skin colour should not and in fact is no longer being tolerated by a world that embraces all colours.

This rationale was actually expressed by Istanbul’s Senegalese football player, Demba Ba, during his altercation with the 4th official, as you can watch below:

At the time of writing, reports say that Demba Ba and PSG captain Marquinhos agreed upon the restarting of the match, and that all players would reenter the pitch hand-in-hand. However, many of Istanbul Başakşehir players said they were not ready to play, and the match is likely to be resumed tomorrow.
